Meet the Burnett Family: three generations of born and bred small-town Texans. Whether they've bought into life in Paducah or have chosen to run from it, all of them have long been set in their ways, but an untimely death in the family forces everyone to reevaluate. HEY Y'ALL!
Mandy is a New York based playwright/actress who was born and raised in Texas. She is constantly traveling through the southwest, looking for new stories to tell. Born in Austin, Mandy grew up all along I-35 from San Marcos all the way to Ponca City, Oklahoma. Her southwestern roots have always kept her grounded while her passion for telling stories has taken her all around the country and even to London and Stratford-upon-Avon. She attended Texas State University in San Marcos, TX, earning her BFA in Acting with specialized classes in playwriting. She also studied Shakespeare along side the companies at The Globe and The Royal Shakespeare Company in England.

As a playwright, Mandy is not as concerned with telling stories that start conversations about specific topics but simply starting conversations. She wants to use her southern roots and her big city smarts to bridge the gap in our country between people who only see their differences instead of all of their similarities. At the end of the day, we are all just people.

As an actress, she enjoys telling the stories of women who go against the grain; women whose stories are unfortunately not told as often in our current society. Woman with curves, with issues, with mullets, with insecurities, with anger issues, and everything out of the mainstream.

In her free time, Mandy enjoys making some of the best margaritas in NYC, walking her dog Lola while singing along with the soundtrack to Oliver and Company and replaying her treasured games on her Nintendo64. Keep up with Mandy and her upcoming works here or on her Facebook or Instagram.
